These projects are to benefit the community and are publicly bid and awarded in accordance with State Law and local ordinance.

Water Plant Expansion Click here for site plan) |
Project Scope: This is the fourth and last phase of expansion of the water plant to bring the plant's treatment capacity from 2.99 million gallons per day to 4.8 million gallons per day. The project will consist of remodeling the existing 2750 sq ft and adding an additional 500 sq ft to the facility. This project is part of our Water and Wastewater Master Plan and will make the City's water plant capable of accommodating the rapid growth of our community and provide water for many years to come. Project Scope: This project will replace an older ground storage tank with a new tank adding another 75% capacity. The current tank is nearly 60 years old and rehabilitating it is unfeasible. The project also consists of rehabilitating an adjacent similar, but smaller tank. Budget: $790,000 Contractor: Tank Builders Expected Completion Date: May 2018 |

Project Scope: The City of Meadowlakes is planning to expand their irrigation to other parts of their golf course currently not irrigated, and use treated re-use water supplied by the City of Marble Falls. Previously, City of Meadowlakes was using water from Lake Marble Falls for their irrigation needs. This project will re-purpose the wastewater and promote conservation. The City of Meadowlakes is purchasing the materials and the City of Marble Falls' public works crew will install it. The pipe installation comprises of 3,600 feet of an 8 inch line from the baseball fields in Johnson Park, to a line connecting to City of Meadowlakes. The water for irrigation will be supplied from Marble Falls wastewater treatment plant, which purifies the water to a quality which can be re-used. Budget: $100,000 for a 3,600' line Expected Completion Date: Spring 2018 |
West Innovation Loop Extension(click here for site plan) |
Project Scope: Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation will construct a 1,200 foot roadway extension for West Innovation Loop located in the Business and Technology Park. The roadway extension will provide an additional 32 acres of future development for the Business and technology park. The project also includes the extension of all the required utilities to accommodate development in this area. Budget: $750,000 Expected Completion Date: Summer 2018 (construction anticipated to begin November 2017) |
